Gran Turismo 7 announces the two-part Spec IV update
Polyphony Digital announced Spec IV, the next free update for Gran Turismo 7, arriving in two parts — October and December 2026 — as part of the build-up to the original Gran Turismo's 30th anniversary in 2027.
The two circuits
October brings Sportsland SUGO, a Japanese circuit known for its elevation changes, flowing layout, and signature Dunlop bridge. December adds Autumn Ring, a circuit with deep roots in the series that first appeared in the original Gran Turismo.
New cars and modes
The update adds 12 new cars, a "Family Mode" built for more casual play, and two new online modes: Online Drift Trials (testing control and style in drift) and Shuffle Races (randomized race conditions that force players to adapt strategy on the fly).
Other changes
Spec IV also brings a refreshed driving experience, an expanded Car Viewer, new progression elements, and a "Concierge" feature for buying cars.
