AMD ships Adrenalin driver 26.9.1 for Onimusha and The Blood of Dawnwalker

AMD released AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 26.9.1 on September 3, 2026 — an optional driver focused on two specific games rather than a long list of general-purpose additions.

What it adds

The driver adds optimization for Onimusha: Way of the Sword and The Blood of Dawnwalker, both recently released. It also fixes an intermittent crash affecting Starfield and Apex Legends specifically on Radeon RX 9000-series cards.

Supported cards

26.9.1 covers the last three Radeon generations: RDNA 4 (RX 9070 XT, 9070, 9070 GRE, 9060 XT, 9060), RDNA 3 (RX 7900 XTX, 7900 XT, 7800 XT, 7700 XT, 7600), and RDNA 2 (RX 6500 through RX 6950 XT).

AMD shipped it on its "Optional" branch, not the general-recommended track: if you don't play either optimized title and haven't hit the RX 9000 crash, it's safe to wait for the next recommended driver instead.
